Future US Inc.'s Decorating Spaces Named Honorable Mention Recipient in Coveted Home Awards' Consumer Magazine Category

Atlanta, GA/South San Francisco, CA (May 18, 2006) – Decorating Spaces, Future US’ leading how-to interior design magazine, was named the honorable mention recipient in the coveted 2006 HOME Awards’ consumer magazine category at the International Home Furnishings Market in High Point, North Carolina.
The sixth annual HOME Awards, held on April 27th, were created by the American Home Furnishing Alliance to “Honor Outstanding Media Efforts” in covering home furnishings products and trends. Entries were received in three categories: newspaper, consumer magazine and trade publication.
Decorating Spaces submitted three articles by contributing writer Jennifer Dixon—“Cutting A Rug” (September 2005), “Man Of The House” (January 2006) and “Seat Yourself” (February 2006)—and received the second highest scores in the category. Dixon has been with the publication since its inception.
Consumer magazine HOME Award entries are judged on the degree to which the writer inspires consumers to enhance their homes with new furnishings. In addition, the judges look for writing that provides consumers with the information they need to make sound, buying decisions. Judges for the awards are members of AHFA’s Public Relations Council.
“This award clearly marks Decorating Spaces' entrance as a true competitor among well-established interior design magazines," said Decorating Spaces editor Lauren Hoffman. “We know that this award is just a preview of great things to come for the publication.”
