Mac|Life Magazine Names Eugene Robinson As Senior Editor

Award-Winning Editor, Chief Editorial Provider For Apple.com’s Design & Publishing Efforts Joins Team
South San Francisco, CA (January 30, 2007) – Mac|Life magazine has named Eugene Robinson as senior editor, it was announced today by Editor in Chief Leslie Ayers. Mac|Life is the only Mac publication that embraces a modern aesthetic and delivers exclusive content to readers that allows them to use Apple products to their fullest potential.
Robinson brings an impressive 20 years experience in technology publishing to Mac|Life. His diverse publishing career offers an invaluable entertainment and lifestyle perspective to the magazine. As senior editor, Robinson will be responsible for conceiving, writing and editing feature articles, front-of-book content, how-tos and reviews, among other duties.
Robinson honed his Mac expertise at Apple, where he spearheaded the restructuring of Apple.com as a senior marketing consultant. Under his direction, the site’s traffic surged upward of 700%. In the position, he also wrote, reported and edited content that captured the use of Apple technology in the design and publishing arena.
Most recently, Robinson served a two-year tenure as editor in chief of EQ, an international music production monthly magazine. In this capacity, he guided the publication through a redesign and relaunch to grow subscriptions and readership at an unprecedented rate. Robinson has also held the title of editor in chief at men’s style magazine Code. While at the publication, he was awarded four WPA Maggie Awards including “Best New Publication” and a Folio Ozzie Award for “Best New Publication.”
Early in his career, the Stanford graduate served as an editor at internationally distributed Intel Leads magazine where he directed and developed a staff for Intel Corporation’s corporate publication. At Intel Leads, he was also responsible for strategic planning for the monthly and all facets of corporate publishing.
