Future US Appoints Rachelle Considine Chief Operating Officer

SAN FRANCISCO – Dec 1st, 2011 – Future US, a leading publisher of gaming and technology media properties, today announced the promotion of Rachelle Considine to Chief Operating Officer (COO). Formerly the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Future U.S., Considine oversaw marketing and sales across Future’s games, technology, and men’s and women’s special-interest markets. In her new role as COO, Considine will be a member of the company’s global management board and head up Future US.

The appointment further accelerates Future’s business toward a unified global product line and digital platform, addressing the industry’s rapid migration from print to digital, and driving a wider, more engaging global audience base.

“Rachelle Considine has an impressive track record as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Future US,” said Mark Wood, Chief Executive of Future PLC. “We’re confident that with her outstanding team-building and commercial expertise she will provide the leadership needed to align our U.S. and U.K. operations and enable Future to develop rapidly as a leading digital publisher both online and on tablets in U.S. markets.”

Considine joined Future US in 2009 as General Manager of the Games Advertising Group, significantly boosting the division’s growth and sales, with an emphasis on the digital growth story.  Under her leadership, GamesRadar’s revenue increased 65% year over year. As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Considine drew on her expertise in working with some of the world’s most well-known brands, including Best Buy, Hyundai and 7-11, to apply new ways to connect with readers and partners to grow the company.

Prior to joining Future, Considine served as Vice President of Sales for What They Like, Inc. where she was responsible for building the company’s sales teams, tools and revenue. Earlier in her career, Considine held several management roles in the video game industry, notably as National Sales Director for Fox Interactive Media/IGN Entertainment and MySpace Games Group where she played an integral role in structuring and implementing the strategy for the games team vertical within Fox Interactive Media’s sales group. During Considine’s five-year tenure, she also represented some of the company’s other top brands, including TeamXBOX, Rotten Tomatoes and AskMen.
