First Issue Available Jan. 10, Dedicated to “Love”
SAN FRANCISCO – Dec. 20, 2011 – Future U.S., a leading special-interest media group, today announced that its popular knitting magazine, Knitting Today!, will be changing the name of its publication to Your Knitting Life (YKL), effective with the release of its annual February/March “Love” issue. To coincide with the name change, YKL will roll out a new logo and website. The magazine will continue to be available at the same retailers and outlets as Knitting Today!, such as Barnes & Noble, Joann’s Craft stores, tablets (Kindle Fire, Apple ® iPad, Barnes & Noble NOOK®) and shop.futureus.com.
“When we launched Knitting Today! more than a year ago, it was a natural choice for us to stick with a similar name of our sister publication, Crochet Today!,” said Theresa Gonzalez, Editor-in-Chief of Knitting Today!. “The decision to change the name is based on how the publication connects with readers. The new magazine will be managed by the same talented editorial/design team and deliver the same level of creative, fun and innovative ideas that our readers have come to enjoy and expect.”
The cover of the February/March “Love” issue of YKL will feature the Bronte Cape, designed by Elena Malo, and the Dickens Vest, designed by Deborah Newton. The special issue will also include knitting patterns inspired by Valentine’s Day, more Victorian fashion, seasonal accessories, and a profile of Olympic medalist and charity knitter Lindsey Jacobellis.
Knitting Today! is a bi-monthly magazine designed to inspire passionate knitters with fresh ideas from a team of experts. The publication is also available online, which features current issue highlights, a blog, “How To” articles, free patterns and the option to subscribe to the print magazine.
The first issue and annual February/March “Love” edition of Your Knitting Life will be available at newsstands on Jan. 10. The annual subscription price of YKL is USD $19.95 for six issues. For more information, visit: www.yourknittinglife.com. Readers can also visit the following fan pages:
